MAKE ART LIKE AN EGYPTIAN
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Scavenger hunts, pottery and clay sculpting, jewelrymaking and puzzles are just a
sampling of the fun activities fifth- and sixth-grade children will enjoy during the annual Egyptian Art Workshop for Kids at Cal State San Bernardino.
Held July 28-31, the workshop will run in two sessions, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and from 3-6 p.m.
Children ages 11-13 will be hosted by the Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum at Cal State San Bernardino’s Visual Arts Center. The cost is $50 for general workshop admission or $40 for discounted workshop admission to CSUSB Alumni Association and Friends of the Museum members. The price includes snacks and drinks.

During their day, students also will be given workbooks and will have a chance to win prizes, go on a mock archeological dig, make art and learn more about Egyptian culture and history while enjoying the best permanent display of Ancient Egyptian antiquities on the West Coast.
Billie Sessions, a CSUSB art professor, will run the workshop, and Keith Brockie will give a guest lecture and demonstration.
To register, go to the Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum Web site. Children may be registered right up to the day the workshop opens on July 28 as long as space is available.
