Eva Kirsch joined the museum staff as Director in 1998. Born in Poland where she lived until 1992, and educated as an art historian, she had worked as the curator of contemporary painting for the Museum of Silesia in Katowice from 1985 to 1992, organizing numerous permanent collection and visiting exhibitions and developing the museum’s comprehensive permanent collection of post World War II paintings. After moving to California in 1992, Kirsch received her degree in exhibition design and held various positions in the museum, private and community college sector. During her long museum career, she has curated over 50 exhibitions, including a comprehensive exhibition about Renaissance art in the Upper Silesia for the Museum of Silesia, Wrestling with the Sublime: Contemporary German Art in California Collections for CSU, Fullerton, and Hellenistic Art from the J. Paul Getty Museum, Polish Art in Southern California Collections and Wonderlands and Realities: Best in Children’s Book Illustration 1880-1940 for the Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum, CSUSB. She has published close to 100 articles and catalog essays both in Polish and English.

 

Richard Jarvis

Richard Jarvis joined the staff in 2008. Prior to his appointment, he directed First 5 San Bernardino, a public funding agency that supports agencies serving children 0-5 and their families. Richard's background in fund raising began during an eleven-year career with the American Heart Association. He then spent four years as Director of Development for the Division of Biomedical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside, where he helped build community support for a future medical school.

 

John Fleeman

John Fleeman joined the museum staff in 1997 as Exhibition Designer. Throughout his long museum career, John has coordinated the design and installation for numerous exhibitions. Among other positions, he worked as Preparator for the Norton Simon Museum of Art and Security Director for the Grand Rapids Art Museum. John received his B.A. in Fine Art from Western Michigan University, with a concentration in Painting and Art History. He is a member of the American Association of Museums and the Packing and Crating Information Network. In 2000, John received the President's Outstanding Employee of the Year Award from CSUSB and the Golden Apple Award.

 

Tiffany Talavera
Visitor Services and Education Specialist

Tiffany Talavera joined the museum staff in 2007. Prior to her position as Visitor Services and Education Specialist, Tiffany had been a Gallery Management Student at the Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum. Tiffany has also been Administrative Support Assistant for the College of Natural Sciences and Administrative Support Coordinator for the Accounting Department at CSUSB. Her broad range of experience has led her to successfully manage the museum's docent council and educational programs. Tiffany received her A.A. in General Education from Chaffey College before completing her B.A. in Art History from Cal State San Bernardino. She enjoys reading, research and design, and is working toward a second bachelor's degree in French Literature.

 

Andrea Callahan
Development and PR Associate

Andrea Callahan joined the museum staff in 2007. Prior to her appointment at the museum, she worked on the events team at ESRI in Redlands and interned for Wilkin-Guge Marketing and Euro RSCG Magnet, Hispanic Marketing Division. As a student, she was Multi-Cultural Editor for the Coyote Chronicle and Vice President of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Andrea received her A.A. in General Education from Chaffey College and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Cal State San Bernardino. She is a member of the American Association of Museums and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

 

Michael Beckley
Exhibition Preparator

Michael Beckley joined the museum staff in 2005 as Exhibition Preparator. Michael is a graduate of Cal State San Bernardino, having received a B.A in Glass Art and an M.A. in Art with a concentration in Glass. He has also attended the International Glass Centre in West Midlands, England. Mike's work has been in several exhibitions since 1994. Prior to his position at the Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum, he worked at Cohn-Stone Glass Studio, Blow Zone Glass Studio and Tamar Glass in Cornwall England.

 

Candace Parks
Registrar and Administrative Assistant

Candace Parks joined the museum staff as Registrar and Administrative Assistant in 2008. Prior to her position at the museum, Candace interned with the Palm Springs Art Museum working with the Curatorial and Educational staff on numerous projects. She has also worked closely with Alexandra Grant at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. She pursues personal artistic development as a mural artist, having painted a mural for CSUSB's Office of Records, Registration & Evaluation, as well as numerous interior residential pieces. Candace received her B.A. degree in Art History from Cal State San Bernardino and plans to pursue her Masters Degree in Anthropology. She is currently a member of the American Association of Museums.

Bomi Hwang
Assistant Registrar and Educational Support

Prior to her position at the museum, Bomi received her B.A. degree in English from Cal State San Bernardino. Shortly after that she discovered her calling in art and enrolled as a post-baccalaureate student majoring in Art History at CSUSB. She has worked for the Fullerton Art Museum since 2006, assisting with many special projects including exhibitions, collections and education related. She has played a key role in making the museum's website ADA compliant, researching on the museum's collection and will soon begin a project that involves the reconstruction of some of the museum's permanent pieces.
